Whelk and Mango Salad
500g Whelks
1/2 (half) mango, sliced
1 shallot, finely chopped
1/2 clove garlic, finely chopped
coriander, chopped
1/2 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 grapefruit segments
Method:
Simmer whelks for 10 minutes in salted water.
Strain, and when cool pick out whelk from shell, cutting off and
discarding the front and back.
Mix all ingredients together.
Serves 2
